What is it?
EDx - Educational Dynamics to the exponent of "x". This "x" represents the exponential growth of one person's ideas into viral possibilities of educational curiosity, informed action and global positive change.
A YOUTH EDx summit is a concept created at Colegio Roosevelt specifically for the CLima conference. It is an opportunity for young leaders to spread awareness about their passions and concerns surrounding climate change issues, as well as what is being done globally to address them. In the style of a TEDx Youth conference we aim that students teach students.

Who is Involved?
- All CLima 2014 Conference Participants will attend the YOUTH EDx Summit at Colegio Roosevelt on Sunday, November 23rd.
- Talented Youth Presenters selected through an application and video audition process will directly address the CLima Conference audience of international Student Leaders and their accompanying educators.
- The opportunity to voice ideas, solutions, resolutions to a powerful connected audience with the goal of influencing the UN COP 20 Talks happening in the same city the week following.
- The world will be watching.
What do we want to achieve in the YOUTH EDx Summit?
- Provide an opportunity for student voice in bringing awareness to the greater community about the implications of climate change and environmental sustainability.
- Encourage informed dialogue around climate related and environmental issues among all community members and international attendees.
- Enhance collaboration between our diverse community of educators and students with a common goal to “Change Wisely”.
Guidelines:
- Presentations must be between 12-20 minutes long
- No commercial agenda/propaganda
- No religious or political propaganda
- Single presenter
- 18 years of age or under as of November 21st, 2014
- Any images used must be property of the presenter
- Images not owned by the presenter must be properly cited
Tips and Ideas:
- You are required to learn all of your presentation. Reading note cards is not suggested; engage your audience.
- Speak about something you are passionate about, this will make the event more pleasant for you and the entire audience.
- Have clear and concise ideas because you have a limited amount of time.
- Make sure your presentation and media are legible/clear, use appropriate text size
- Information must come from reliable and trusted sources.
