The Global Issues Network Identifies 20 Global Issues and encourages students to form teams of 2-6 people, develop solutions to these issues, and then to create an interactive, multi-media, 45 minute workshop to network their solutions to their peers.
For the purposes of CLima 2014 the 10 issues most directly linked to Climate Change will be highlighted.
The 10 Select Global Issues are; Global Warming, Biodiversity and ecosystem losses, Deforestation, Water deficits, Massive step-up in the fight against poverty, Peacekeeping, conflict prevention, combating terrorism, Global infectious diseases, Natural disaster prevention and mitigation, Trade, investment, and competition rules, International labor and migration rules.
